After seeing Interstellar movie, one of the quote i can't forget is about the survival instinct. Mann, Matt Damon, was talking about it to Cooper. suddenly He attacked Cooper simply to survive even though he well trained elite astronaut in Earth.
some quote from the movie:
- a machine doesn't improvise well because you can't program a fear of death. our survival instinct is the single greatest source of the inspiration.
- You're feeling it, aren't you? the survival instinct. that's what drive me. that's what drives all of us. And It's what's gonna save us.
Also i remember that the mechanism under the fear is to increase the chances of survival. Think about a person without any fear. He will not prepare for upcoming risks and will not be cautious for unknown thing. It definitely has been enhanced chances of survival of all life feeling a fear.
theses day, It's been happening to me. I wake up at around 5 in the morning to be afraid of the progress of the task I'm doing in the current company. first delivery time is the end of this year. but the requirements are still unclear lots of integrations are required with different teams and there are still unknown areas. Simply I'm much worried about the current progress.
Handling ambiguity is always difficult to me. Let's see what can be learn from this and how I can handle those. There must be a way to do well.
